Following a meeting of the Downend Folk Club committee last night, we are able to announce that, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have taken the decision to cancel our concerts in June and July, which were due to feature HANNAH JAMES & TOBY KUHN (Friday 19th June) and LUKE JACKSON (Friday 17th July).

We will contact all ticket holders, and refunds will be issued. We are in touch with both artists, and we hope to be able to find a date for them to perform for us in the future.

We continue to monitor the advice from the Government, and remain committed to resuming our programme as soon as it is legal and safe to do so. For now, we plan to restart in September, but we recognise that there is a high chance that we will not be able to do so. For that reason we have not announced the programme as yet, but we do have acts booked for the third Friday in September, October, November and December.

In the meantime, we hope you are enjoying our “an hour or so” series on Friday evenings. Do tune in each week at 8.00pm. We look forward to enjoying live music with you again, as soon as we are able. Stay safe.
